BeeBop Senior Care helps a family coordinate the care of someone they look after: who is coming, what needs doing, and how each visit went. It holds sensitive information about a person who may not be able to look after it themselves, so we keep as little as the job needs and share it with no one who doesn’t need it to run the app.
What we keep
- About the person being cared for: their name, age, living situation, the conditions and notes the family enters, and the care schedule and tasks.
- About family members and caregivers: names, phone numbers, how they're related or their caregiving role, and when they're available.
- From each visit: which tasks were done, notes and photos the caregiver adds, and the update sent to the family, plus comments the family leaves on it.
- Numbers a caregiver writes in a note, like how much someone drank, so the family can see them over time. These come only from what was written down.
Who can see it
Only the people on that care team: the family members the family adds, and the caregivers they invite. Caregivers see what they need for their visits. Photos are never published at a public address; each one is shown only to someone signed in to that care team. We don’t sell anyone’s information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Voice notes
When a caregiver records a note, the recording is turned into text and then thrown away. We never store the audio. The text is what’s saved, and the caregiver can read and change it first.
The services we use
A few companies process information so the app can work. Each gets only what its part needs:
- Clerk, to check your phone number when you sign in.
- Vercel and Neon, which host the app, its database and its photos.
- Anthropic, whose AI writes the visit summaries and handovers from the caregiver's notes. It describes what was observed and never gives medical advice.
- Deepgram, which turns voice notes into text. We ask it not to keep recordings to improve its models.
- Twilio, which sends our text messages.
Text messages
BeeBop Senior Care sends two kinds of text:
- An invite, when a family adds you to a care team, with a link to join.
- A note that a caregiver's visit update is ready, if you're a family member the family has set to receive them.
How often depends on the care schedule: update texts come about once per visit, so a family with several visits a day may get several. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Sign-in codes come separately from our sign-in provider, and you can always sign in with your number even after replying STOP.
How people come to receive texts is set out in Text messages.
We don’t share mobile numbers, or anyone’s agreement to receive texts, with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Cookies
Only the ones that keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics.
Keeping and deleting
We keep a care team’s information while it’s in use. The family member who set it up can remove people from it at any time. To have a whole care team and everything in it deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, email us and we’ll do it.
