BeeBop Senior Care

Text messages

Why you might get a text from BeeBop Senior Care, how you agreed to it, and how to stop.

How you come to get texts

  1. A family uses BeeBop Senior Care to coordinate care for someone they look after, an older parent for example. One family member sets it up and manages the care team.
  2. Before adding anyone, that family member asks them, in person or by phone, whether they agree to receive text messages from BeeBop Senior Care about this person’s care. Only people who agree are added.
  3. Once added, you receive one invite text with a link to join. You can also join at any time by signing in with your number at beebopcare.com.
  4. If you’re a family member the family has set to be notified, you receive a text when a caregiver’s visit update is ready to read.

We never buy or rent phone numbers, never send marketing or promotional messages, and never text anyone a family hasn’t added to their own care team.

What the family member says

Before adding someone, the family member asks them in person or by phone, using these words or ones to the same effect:

Family member: “I’d like to add you to Mom’s care team on BeeBop Senior Care. You’ll get one text with a link to join. If you’re family, you’ll also get a text when a caregiver’s visit update is ready, about one per visit. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, or STOP at any time to stop the texts. The terms are at beebopcare.com/terms and the privacy policy at beebopcare.com/privacy. Is it OK for BeeBop Senior Care to text you? Yes or no?”

Them: “Yes.”

Only after a yes does the family member add them. The invite text that follows confirms they’ve been added, and says how to opt out.

The messages

Exactly as sent, with example names:

Carly added you to Susan Smith’s care team on BeeBop Senior Care. You’ll see the schedule, the day’s tasks, and who came before you. https://beebopcare.com/j/… No app to install, no password. Reply STOP to opt out.

Julia sent an update about Susan. https://beebopcare.com/feed Reply STOP to opt out.

How often, and what it costs

An invite is sent once, when you’re added. Update texts come about once per visit, so it depends on the care schedule: a family with several visits a day may get several. Message and data rates may apply.

Stopping, and getting help

Reply STOP to any of our texts and we’ll stop texting you. Reply START to begin again, or HELP for help. You can also email hello@beebopcare.com. Stopping texts doesn’t remove you from the care team, and you can still sign in with your number. Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
